Hollycombe Steam Collection
Hollycombe Steam Collection, set on the Hampshire and Sussex border, is a fantastic day out for all the family. Discover how the Victorians and Edwardians used steam for both work and play at Hollycombe, home to the largest variety of steam engines and fairground rides in Britain.
At Hollycombe you can ride on a fully working Edwardian steam fairground, including the world’s first ‘white knuckle’ spinning Razzle Dazzle ride, the world’s oldest Haunted House and the world’s oldest surviving mechanically operated galloping horses ride, ‘Mr Field’s Steam Circus’. There’s also a big wheel, where you can take in views of the South Downs.
Away from the fairground, journey on the Quarry railway through 1.5 miles of woodland with spectacular views across the Sussex Weald, or ride the miniature steam Garden railway looped track around the woodland gardens and fairgrounds.
You’ll also find steam road engines, road rollers and farm engines, and beautiful listed woodland gardens filled with rare plants and trees, for a peaceful walk or picnic.
Hollycombe Steam Collection is just 14 minutes’ drive from The Station House.
